This course equipped participants with the knowledge and skills to quickly assess recognize and care for cardiac arrest, provide high-quality CPR, and use an AED to optimize patient outcomes. Design for both in hospital and out of hospital health clear clinicians this training is consistent with the 2025 evidence based science guidelines and covers additional life-threatening emergencies, including respiratory arrest, drowning, opioid overdose, myocardial infraction, life-threatening, bleeding and obstructed  airways in adults and infants. Participants complete an online course followed by an in person session led by instructor or self directed solution that includes knowledge based learning and hands-on skill practice. Participants are required to successfully complete the online course and final exam and demonstrate skill competency during the skills practice and testing scenario to earn an American Red Cross basic life support certificate valid two years. All participants must provide proof of completing the online training and assessment before being allowed to participate in the hands-on portion.

Participants are required to successfully demonstrate skill, competency during skills, practice, and testing scenarios and pass a final exam to earn an American Red Cross basic life support certificate valid for two years.

This blended learning course combines the flexibility of self-paced online instruction with hands-on, instructor-led skills training. Participants complete the interactive online learning portion at their own pace before attending an in-person skills session, where they demonstrate CPR, AED, and first aid techniques under the guidance of a certified instructor. Successful completion of both components results in a two-year certification that meets OSHA workplace requirements for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.
